Why is it important to calculate Weighted Grade?

Weighted Grade CalculatorIn order to be successful in your coursework, it is important to be able to track your progress in a course. However, this can be difficult when your teacher uses weighted grades. This means that the great score you got on the discussion questions won't count as highly towards your overall average as the score you got on the exams, if the exams hold a higher weight.
Many times, your teacher assigns different weights for various assignments, and it can be confusing to know exactly where you stand in a course when this is done. Therefore, using a weighted grade calculator allows you to find out you grade at the moment. It helps you to know what types of scores you need on future assignments in order to pass the course or retain a certain grade point average.
When you are working hard to get your work done in school, you want to concentrate on the assignments that hold more weight. However, if you fail to consider all assignments, you can get into trouble. Therefore, knowing your final grade at the moment and making sure that you retain this throughout the course can help you succeed.
